My rock is gone. He crossed the veil in the wee hours of the morning. His body had just had enough. I had to let him go. But how do I get through this. I am so damned lost.

2 weeks and counting. He is still unconscious and relatively unresponsive. We have had slow improvements, but nothing amazing.

I will be back to DMing at the New Year. Hubby's health is still not good.

I suppose the good thing is we aren't going backwards. Still unconscious, but more signs of "life" every day.

Tonight's adventure had the team leaving Nicodranus to head toward Trostenwald in search of information on the location of one of the Arms of the Betrayers. They fought bandits overnight as one of the characters fell asleep on watch. Oops.

Wednesday is "play PF2e" day for the forever DM. Unfortunately, I overslept by about an hour. And then about 30 minutes before the end of session, my power went out for 30 seconds. Still had fun, though!

It's Sunday. I ran my paid game, but the game I play in on Sunday nights is cancelled for this evening. So, what am I doing? Working on a custom crafting system for DnD w/ my free players, LOL.

The mare is home. (Selene, my quarter horse.) Sometimes she thinks that the rinky dink Appy cross pony is not a good enough companion. So she goes to look for her friends. Jokes on her, some of her friends are moving into the pasture out back soon! After their owner does a little work (negotiated!)

Don't give them any ideas!

I would rather have a friendly relationship with a neighbor than one of purely monetary transference.

To expand, was approached to lease share our 10 acres of pasture. Instead of $$, I asked for help. Much better option.

Been here for 15 years, I've learned I need help.

I mean, I've worked through some stuff at the table that I never thought about. But immersing myself into a ranger that just wants to be a scout for her clan? That definitely helps me get away from this disabled body for 3 hours a week.

It took me forever to find a game...and today's session was cancelled. 😢

My husband had a stroke on October 23rd. Just getting the bills, close to $200k. Everything has gone through the VA. Veteran responsibility: $0.00.

We've been through a lot in the last 25yrs due to his combat PTSD. Not having to pay that bill? Worth it. We'd be sunk otherwise.

He looks a wee bit put out!

The beginning was so simple. Play a game of pretend and imagination based on swords and sorcery. <Take break, raise kids>. Finally jump back in in 2021...Hmm, I can't be around people, immune-compromised. Online DnD. Can't find a game. Decide to run them. Now I run 10 - 18 hours a week.
