It's something you want to take points away from because you feel like you've seen it before, but then you realize it was THE original for so many other writings that you just gotta sit there mouth open

Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter (remake):
Fun ride that I have a bajillion problems with but I enjoyed; albeit probably won't think about often

Night in the Woods:
I have problems with a lot of the pacing and gameplay padding, but it's unique in the very exact space it occupies and what it talks about and I admire it for that
But also MAN this is the most millennial game of all time, for better or worse

Everything about it is so good on paper and conceptually but it shits the bed every step of the way in execution

Wake Up Dead Man:
The first half is kind of a slog and just really surface level stuff, but the second half ties it together nicely and actually explores pretty untreaded ground
also please Johnson get better at routing your mysteries

Donkey Kong Bananza:
Maybe the sweetest game I've ever played? Just oozing with such a special personality

Wicked:
Full props to the designers but man it's kind of insufferable

Dispatch:
Not perfect and sometimes plays things a bit too safe in a way Telltale used to, but as an overall package and presentation I really can't be upset about any of it, and it's lived in my brain a lot the last month

Weapons:
A big budget WKYK sketch that thematically is a little underwhelming but it's a trip the entire time

Chainsaw Man: The Movie - Reze Arc:
A perfect adaptation, a perfect film, a perfect thing that will take up space in my brain for a long time

Gen V Season 2:
Maybe the dumbest season of TV in a minute

Pokémon Legends ZAza:
There's a lot to complain about (not having voice acting really is inexcusable at this point) and even more to nitpick (I really do not like the core trio) but the gameplay loop is maybe the best it's ever been and the core strengths of Pokémon are maybe better than ever here

Hades 2:
It's Hades but again and that makes it one of the GOATs easily

OFF:
For better and worse (mostly better!), the platonic ideal of RPG maker designs

Death is the LeBron of dunking on teenagers and even if the last third of the movie is kinda dry, the rest is great dark comedy

Fantastic 4 First Steps:
It's fine. At this point I really don't think an MCU movie can be more than passively enjoyable
This has to set a record for most cut scenes in an mcu movie tho

OneShot:
A game I wanted to like so bad that just couldn't keep my interest or show me something I haven't seen before

Palm Springs:
Honestly way more enjoyable than I expected but I'm realizing time loop stories bring out the nihilism in me

Superman:
Fun, but not much more
People will be giving this much higher reviews just because of the last 10 years of DC which is kinda valid, but this movie on its own is just alright

Interesting but it suffers a lot from refusing to commit to a specific direction and runs out of time before it properly accomplishes anything

Genuinely really surprisingly good!
A bit generic but the gimmick is cute and the action is a sleeper hit

Star Wars Jedi Survivor:
Fun time and the most condensed action/adventure feeling maybe ever, but individual parts are not great
Still enjoyed myself and would recommend but a lot of bloat and jank
