Giving them the time and space to connect with their community of teachers to feel seen, heard and supported. Systems I’ve seen are not good at providing that time within work hours.

It’s a very niche mkt that could afford care outside of the BC system which includes $6/hr wage top up. Still challenges here but the current strength is that there are multiple approaches being employed simultaneously that allow most to survive. Few providers are thriving however. More work to do!

Difficult on the economy when women don’t have the choice to work outside the home.

We have capped fees in British Columbia and it’s financially difficult with a one size fits all, but they have introduced exceptional fee increase request option which is helping. This system includes a fee reduction portion from govt. Also pursuing growing $10aDay system.
