And while today is Take Your Children to Work Day 2025, for me, EVERY SINGLE DAY has been "Take Your Children to Work Day." It's not easy. Actually, if we're being honest, sometimes it's freaking hard as hell. But, goodness gracious, it's also one of the biggest blessings of my life. 🧵
I'm working toward 10 years since I first dipped my toes into self-employment by freelancing during my maternity leave for my middle child.
Since then, I raised three children, who of which were home with me from birth until they entered public school— pre-k for one and first grade for another.

I knew well & good that when I put them in the ground it would take a good half of a year for anything to happen. So if you go into your marketing efforts with the expectation that the ROI might take time, but it will, for sure, be there if you do things well, you certainly won't be disappointed 🧵
Heck, for many types of copy and content projects, it WILL take time before you get the ROI you're hoping for. But that's totally okay. Because you know that good things take time. I certainly did not expect the bulbs I planted in the fall to shoot by Thanksgiving.
