Understanding Memory Management, Part 1: C

This post is very well-written. Looking forward to this series.

You can see there the seed for Rust's design: It basically enforces by design who is responsible for freeing.

Given an input I can observe what comes out from the box. I can discover patterns, watch for deterministic results and maybe use this box with confidence later. Even without understanding it's internals.

+1. Discover the "why" behind things. Have you ever wondered why the bcrypt gem is present in almost every Rails project? This article explains and compares it to other hash functions. Fun fact: one reason is precisely because it's slower...

Is there any resource to implement optimistic UI for #rails and #turbo with minimal javascript?

My simplest case is a checkbox that auto submits on change and should not feel that a request is going on.

It’s 2024, and I can’t find a simple, disposable checklist site.
I just need a straightforward checklist with a shareable URL—no login, disposable, no AI, and free—so I can make a shopping list, personal tasks for the day, etc.

Anyone know of one?

Congrats! Is "just send it" specifically tailored for small projects and MVPs? I'm curious how it might cater to the needs of early-stage startups or indie hackes.
