Ceiling saga is nearly over. Yes my desk is a mess but it is finally actually on my desk and not the kitchen table
I will be spending my weekend making everything look lovely again so I can finally think about streaming!
Someone in the comments called it a dopamine treadmill and I like that. Then again, almost everything in modern life is a dopamine treadmill.
I think the zenith are games that balance a good loop, gameplay, and 'wow' moments. To me: Xenoblade, and BotW/Totk are the pinacle of that balance
I really think there is something to be said here, but I also think there's a distinction between good gameplay and a good loop. I think both can make a great game
Good gameplay? Bayonetta 2, Mario Odyssey, TotK
Good loop? Two Point Museum, Dragon Quest, Pokemon, etc
Some games have both!

It feels surreal to have my name on a site I've followed for decades, so huge thanks to the team.
The world is on fire, every day seems worse, and I haven't had full-time employment for a year and a half
But in the mornings I take my dog Tiffany for a walk in the park - where there's a local 8am dog club - and she plays with some friends, and for a moment it all seems worth it
This is also phenomenal, and I'm also happy to see Guzman getting some love

The switch is nine years old now and people spent the last half a decade moaning about performance and graphics. Honestly, if they saw the performance of Dragon Quest Builders 2 on OG Switch, they'd be very happy for the extra power!

I was working at a huge site 2023/24, and every Google core update was devastating. A seemingly random change to search optimisation that demanded instant huge changes and cost the loss of massive percentages of traffic and ad revenue overnight. Sites can't grow or carve out a personality like this
It has been discussed endlessly, but at what point do governments actually talk about the power of the Google monopoly, and do something to protect industries and jobs?
honestly surprised they didnt spend more time explaining that a lot of Legendary Pokemon are available in the wild this week! They might be rare, but its still a really cool event
