I've been given quite a few options between here and Mastodon. A lot that I want to get, and that will fit my purposes, but still isn't scratching that itch. So, if I'm going to 3d print stuff anyway, I'll add it to the growing list of projects..

An overview photo of the modular fortress layout that I chose to demonstrate how it can be used. The fortress has the sections painted in various shades of silver or grey, the outer doors are red, the inner doors are green and the keypads match the colour of the doors, but in a metallic paint rather than a regular one. The screens are all painted in a metallic blue. The towers can be used to help connect the different wall sections, as the longer walls are slightly shorter, so the keypads and screens were positioned in a way that allows them to be visible with both heights.

As promised, some pictures of the layout I chose to make with all of the sections of the fortress. Unfortunately the carpet is not completely straight in all places, so some sections aren't tightly connected, but you can see how it works in practice 🙂

For dyscalculia my system uses hit/miss dice. Two faces hit, the rest miss. Nothing new, but the concept I added was "dice parity"- all arbitrary game units are in dice. One die equals one grid square of movement, a coin, a grade of weapon damage, a grade of armour, a unit of spell power, etc.

There's a whole different vibe there than what you're used to. It's not Twitter, Bluesky, or Facebook. It's more like an interactive microblogging platform where your conversations have a more "human" quality that you just don't get anywhere else (in my experience anyway).
You'll find some people to follow, and build your own community and fill your home feed.
When you post, you're gonna want to do a couple things: use hashtags so people see your post when searching, and please please please use alt text on images (people with sight impairments exist).
Just stay away from the biggest ones like Mastodon.social.
Had an account already and forgot about it? You might want to check if your server still exists. Small ones have a hard time staying up without help from their community.
Once you're there, search for posts with hashtags relevant to you.

A lot servers are centered around a theme or specific community (like LGBTQ+, Tabletop gaming, artist, etc).

3.33 takes the series in an entirely different direction. And the last one (3.0+1.01, not 4.0 or 4.44 like you'd think) finished the stories, but i can't tell you much about that one since I've not seen it yet
