A colorful nebula with clouds of gas in shades of orange, yellow, and blue, dotted with bright stars against the dark background of space
Meet the Medusa Nebula!
As the star at its heart reached the end of its life, it shed its outer layers into space, forming this colourful cloud. The image foreshadows the final fate of the Sun, which will also become an object of this kind.

pixel art of a male Townsend's warbler perched on a small branch and looking up, its legs and feet partially obscured by two oak leaves protruding forward and to the right. The warbler has bright yellow colorings on its face and breast with a black eye-ear patch and smaller yellow band just beneath the eye within that patch, and stripes of black and gray following just underneath the wing, giving way to white, gray and brown colors below. The wing feathers are dark with light edges and two wing bars. A subtle beam of light crosses behind the bird from the upper right to the lower left, against a light reddish-tan background

A group of about twenty purple and wavy tentacle-like fingers rise from orange fir needles covering the ground. This fungi is named purple spindles for good reason. This group of spindles stands about eight inches tall at its highest.
This weird fungus is Alloclavaria purpurea, better known as purple spindles. They're so tentacley!

James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) reveals Herbig-Haro 49/50βa dramatic protostellar jet from a forming star, with intricate gas and dust structures in near- and mid-infrared light. A chance alignment with a distant spiral galaxy adds a stunning cosmic backdrop. The color palette highlights different wavelengths of light, from near-infrared (NIRCam) to mid-infrared (MIRI). Rivkin's Feb 2026 JWST observations of asteroid 2024 YR4 shows that it'll pass 21,938 Β±2,320 km from the Moon (according to JPL SBDB), while Deen's precoveries from 2016 found that YR4 will pass of 22,001 Β±49 km from the Moon.
Both independent results are spot on! πβοΈ
