This is really important because Aberfoyle PS doesn’t have a defibrillator, please support if you can!

CPR-a-thon

Students from the Paramedic Society are taking on a 24‑hour CPR‑a‑thon to raise much‑needed funds for defibrillators in Stirling. Come along anytime between 11am on Monday 9th March and 11am on Tuesday 10th March to learn CPR, get involved, and support this fantastic project.

The Paramedic Society will also be using CPR mannequins with breasts. Research shows that people with breasts are less likely to receive bystander CPR, often due to uncertainty or hesitation. Studies highlight a clear gender‑based disparity in emergency response from the public, with research identifying concerns about hand placement and fear of causing offence as common barriers. By offering training with anatomically representative mannequins, the Society aims to help reduce this inequality and improve CPR confidence across all body types, with their recent Stirling Award grant helping to support this work.

If your community or school is in need of a defibrillator, they would love to hear from you .

Please email: stir.paramedicsociety@gmail.com.

I just got my digital copy of the new book from Model Society - I am so thrilled! Not only does my image in the book look amazing (if I do say so myself), and it's a great appearance for Tink (the model), but also my friends St. Merrique and Floofie are both also in the book! #photographergoals

Strongly recommending newly released British film "The Salt Path" to anyone with the time and inclination to go to the cinema and watch something beautiful and moving and meaningful and basically perfect. Anderson and Isaacs are both giving it all. #supportindiefilm #supportbritishfilm #chooseart

This fine chap was waiting for the ferry to Tarbet at Inversnaid Pier when I went down there with my new/old Hasselblad 500c loaded up with its first roll of film under my stewardship. I can’t remember his name, alas, but he was from Mexico and his travelling companion was from Hungary #mediumformat
