I have been awful about posting about patron and blog posts lately, but they're still going up every week! This week, patrons are up to chapter 28 (of 37) on the Criminal From Birth sequel!
The free post is some things I've learned attending conventions as a writer.

What's my main advice to new writers? My free post this week lets you know. It's... simpler and more infuriating than most people think.
Patrons get another chapter of the Criminal From Birth sequel!

Readers this week get a little insight on things I like and don't like about some prominent authors, and Patrons get another chapter of the Criminal From Birth sequel!

Let's start a whole new year of writing stuff!
A simple writing exercise to get some words flowing, plus my usual project status report. Gonna be a great year (I'm determined to make it one despite everything)!
www.patreon.com/posts/status...
Last posts of the year are a Christmas short story for all supporting tiers, and free patrons all get a well-wish from me to take you into 2026.

Got roped into some random D&D. We're fighting a sausage dragon to collect ingredients to make a sandwich.
I have named the sausage dragon "Meatthew."
Meatthew is not amused. My monk is down.
How do I come up with all these names? My free post this week goes into a couple ways I come up with "non-normal" names. Patrons get another chapter of the Criminal From Birth sequel!

This summer and fall were so crazy I didn't realize I hadn't done a simple "What's up" update in months. So that's what's free this week. Patrons of $5/month or more also get another chapter of the Criminal From Birth sequel!
www.patreon.com/posts/whats-...
This week, I challenge you to another 10-minute writing exercise, writing a tiny flash fiction story where every word starts with the same letter! Also, I discuss mistakes I made publishing my first book, AND we had a new book review last week!

Yesterday, my monthly project progress report went up, as well as an oldie but goodie flash fiction story I wrote back in college.

Life is insane, but my posts are still coming out regularly!
This week, the purpose of my writing is out there for free, and Patrons get chapter 22 of the Criminal From Birth sequel!
www.patreon.com/posts/what-p...
This week's Patrons get the first draft of a short story I've been working on for most of the year, and everyone can get an insight on how I'd encourage a child who wants to be a writer.

I've added something new to my free tier of Patreon/my website for everyone to enjoy!
Book reviews! I only plan to do one a month, so here's the first!

It's November, so that means monthly status update on my projects! October was rough, but we survived.
Patrons get another chapter of the Criminal From Birth sequel!

It's almost November, so I figured I would take the last blog post of October to give some reminiscence on NaNoWriMo and what I learned from it.
This week's paid post is another 10-minute writing exercise: The Escalating Sentence. Give it a try yourself!
www.patreon.com/posts/nanowr...
Patrons are up to chapter 19 of the Criminal From Birth sequel on Patreon this week, plus I give my thoughts on AI use.

New on the site this week: Chapter 17 of the Criminal From Birth sequel for Patrons! And everyone can access my free post on being inspired by characters or plot first!

It's a new month, and that means it's time for my project status update!
Patrons who subscribe for $5 or more a month get treated to another writing exercise: the Metaphor Marathon! Give it a shot yourself!

This week's posts are up! Free tier gets a little info on some writing content creators I'm fond of, and paid Patrons get an introduction to one of my favorite writing exercises!
www.patreon.com/posts/30-1-3...
What formed me? In this week's free post, I talk about some of my favorite books growing up!
Patrons also get chapter 17 of the Criminal From Birth sequel. Almost halfway!
www.patreon.com/posts/your-f...
Patrons get another chapter of the Criminal From Birth sequel, but everyone can find iut the likelihood of them being used as a character inspiration in one of my stories!

Anyone want to help me figure out why I wrote "Lighthouse Turtle" on the back page of my D&D composition book a few weeks ago?
Other than to troll myself? I know I did it for that reason. But what the hell is a Lighthouse Turtle?!?!
Wow. Typos much?
Patrons get more of the Criminal From Birth sequel today, but everyone can check out the discourse on the fieat book(s) I ever wrote.
Spoiler alert: OH THE CRINGE!

What do you want to see me post more of on Patreon? Free members can vote too!

Did you catch yesterday's posts? September is upon us, so my monthly status update is up! (No shock, the second draft of the CFB sequel is COMPLETE!)
And I start some 10-minute writing exercises in my Patreon feed. Join me in some writing craft!

In honor of meeting the amazing @wilwheaton.net this summer, which was an incredible exchange, I have decided to name my new sourdough starter:
Will WHEATon.
A brand new flash fiction story for Patrons this week, plus talking about music in my free post!
What music do you listen to while you write?

What I learned from D&D last night:
If you touch the flesh of a dead Intellect Devourer, it makes a sound like a whoopie cushion full of banana pudding thrown against a barn door.
And it tastes like that too, but the pudding's been in there for about 6 weeks.
