there is also value in it being the only way to access NIER (2010) in an official english capacity. fanpatches of replicant are only ports of gestalt's script, and thus fail to actually meaningfully communicate the character differences between bro/dad

gestalt is an artistically interesting phenomenon that creates a one of a kind character due to executive meddling. it does not have less worth than bro's story despite not being "intended"

to a degree this is goomba fallacy but i think that the chud dad nier fan archetype is very dead with the advent of 1.22's megapopularity. however if you ever find people that passionately love bro and hate dad you are in for some of the most annoying opinions of your life
