WNBA Union Director Blames Player Rupture on League “I hear the emotions and the range of them as a result of the league putting pressure on the players, the league dragging this out,” Terri Carmichael Jackson tells FOS.

I went to WNBPA HQ to interview executive director Terri Carmichael Jackson about the split amongst members.

“The one thing I said to [the players] is they have one tool and their tool is to out wait you."

This #BHM, we’re honoring pioneers who opened doors - and those who keep them open. From Dr. Gladys West and Jo Ann Allen Boyce to Crystal Dunn and Christen Press, their excellence and advocacy remind us that progress is built by those who demand more and make space for the next generation.

WNBA Offered No Proposal at Critical CBA Meeting The sides met in person for the first time in months Monday. The league still hasn’t responded to a December proposal from the players.

The WNBPA players are fighting for fair pay and a real share of the profits THEY create.

The players’ talent, hard work and sacrifice built the league. It’s time for Commissioners Cathy Engelbert and Adam Silver to pay the players what they owe them.

ICU nurse fatally shot by Border Patrol in Minneapolis cared for veterans Alex Pretti was kind and didn’t often discuss politics, friends and colleagues said. His family sharply disputed the Trump administration’s version of the shooting.

Our hearts are with our union brother Alex Jeffrey Pretti’s loved ones.

America’s unions demand that ICE leave Minnesota before anyone else is hurt and that local authorities conduct a full, transparent investigation that will lead to accountability.

AFL-CIO Mourns Killing of Minneapolis Union Member, Reiterates Calls for ICE to Leave Minnesota:

The AFL-CIO mourns the senseless killing of another Minneapolis resident by federal agents. Alex Jeffrey Pretti was a VA intensive care unit nurse and a member of AFGE Local 3669—a brother in our union family. Our thoughts are with Alex’s loved ones, his union siblings, and the people of Minneapolis at this devastating time.

As tens of thousands of Minnesotans made clear peacefully and powerfully yesterday, the Trump administration’s horrific operation—and their actions aimed at stoking violence and chaos—must end. America’s unions join the call for ICE to immediately leave Minnesota before anyone else is hurt or killed. We demand local authorities conduct a full, transparent investigation that will lead to accountability for this tragic and violent act, and for Congress to use its power to hold ICE accountable.

"KNOW YOUR PROTEST RIGHTS: You don't need a permit to protest in response to breaking news and you don't need a permit to march in the streets or along sidewalks, as long as you're not obstructing traffic or access to buildings. You have the right to photograph or film anything in plain view, including federal buildings and law enforcement, so long as you are not trespassing or violating a lawful order. You should not interfere with the actions of the government officials you are recording. If you believe your rights have been violated, when you can, write down everything you remember, get contact information for witnesses, and take photographs of any injuries. If you get stopped by the police, ask if you're free to go. If they say yes, calmly walk away. If you get arrested, you have a right to ask why. Otherwise, say you wish to remain silent and ask for a lawyer immediately. Don't sign, say or agree to anything without a lawyer present. If you get stopped by a member of the military or any law enforcement officer at a protest, you have the right to remain silent or to tell them that you'll only answer questions in the presence of an attorney-no matter your citizenship or immigration status."
