The Wave by Todd Strasser immediately comes to mind. Not broadly considered a classic but definitely 20th century & relevant.

Yay! This sounds like such a great episode. SLLN during my commute + morning caffeine = perfect kickstart to daily school librarianship β€οΈ
I think I'd be afraid to close both eyes π

I agree with you for the most part but also see that some are cycling back into popularity: all of Rick Riordan's series & Twilight are in high circulation at my school library (The Hunger Games never stopped).
Ok but that sounds fun! #wordnerd

This is Walter, my library's newest exchange student. He comes to us from juniorhighland and thinks our campus is much calmer. Walter enjoys naps in my conference room and gentle pets from my high school students.
What a huge, fantastic opportunity for those students to meet with you!! I know that town and the kids need & deserve experiences like this!

I get up early and leave before 6am for my job as a HS librarian. This was my send off yesterday. The other humans in my house at least muster a sleepy "bye" when I leave but this guy couldn't even be bothered with a tail wag. π

Ok ** I ** love this!!
That's awesome you finally got it back!!!!
I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book at a library conference. It is sooooo good. It's funny, it's cringey, it lands, it resonates. Highly recommend!!!!!!
Regardless of the quality of the material within its pages, there was always something so demotivating about being assigned a "poor" condition book at the start of a brand new term. 2/2
Reminds me of textbooks that had a stamp in the front cover where the teacher would write the student's name & condition of the book. New, good, fair, poor. 1/2
