Oop! Poppin in to share some new SW art. What happens to Imperial war machines that get left behind when the Empire leaves in a hurry? Well, if youβre the citizens of this planet, you turn them into walking trading posts!
An illustration of an older Harch with a cane, surrounded by bounty hunting materials
Day 5 - Harch Bounty Hunter Guild Rep. Hygge Bostramo has been the Bounty Hunterβs Guild rep in the sector for decades. Aphelomaβs remote nature make it a common destination for those trying to disappear, so bounty hunting work is never too hard to find. Hygge has developed an uncanny sense of what hunters are capable of, and how to best match them with bounties. His guild-approved rates are low though, mostly due to his habit of skimming off the top.
Day 5 - Harch Bounty Hunter Guild Rep
A Bith wearing a mechanic's jumpsuit and sitting on the body of an astromech droid, surrounded by a variety of droid parts.
Keyrin Sev - Droid Parts Salesman. Keyrin Sev never wanted to get into the droid selling business, but after a smuggling job went awry years ago and his weapons cache was swapped with a load of surplus droid parts, he decided to make the best of it by setting up shop on Apheloma in hopes of selling enough to pay for the next job. But he became known as the droid guy (especially after a clan of Jawas traded him their entire surplus to start their own marketplace stall) he eventually accepted his fate and now offers a wide range of reasonable quality parts at a steal.

A pleasant-looking Gran woman holding a watering can, surrounded by a bunch of cool-looking alien plants
Pellima, Gran Gardener. Not too much greenery blooms on the barren surface of Apheloma, but the few that do can all be found at Pellimaβs Plants and Fungi, where the softspoken Gran can be found daily tending to all sorts of native things that grow. In addition to local plants and offworld desert-thriving species, Pellima also stocks seeds and spores if travelers want to get into the propagating game themselves. She remembers every piece of foliage she sells and will eagerly ask returning customers how their plants are doing.

Day 3 - Gran Gardener
A Zabrak woman wears a blindfold and poses with a variety of sacred items supposedly used to tell fortunes: incense and candles, a sacred eye dreamcatcher thingy, a stalk of herbs, a chisel, a whip, a band of fragrant reeds, a feather, and some bones including a skull with gems for eyes.
Montolia Rashel - Zabrak Fortuneteller. Montolia Rashel can't really read the future, but that hasn't stopped her from running one of the most popular tents of the entire market with her fortunetelling. Her slight ability to read the Force grants her an uncanny intuition with those that seek her wisdom, her blindfold amplifying her skills while also looking the part of a mysterious soothsayer. In addition to reading fortunes in a variety of ways, she also offers protective talismans, tokens of safety and divine protection spells for travelers seeking some peace of mind before a long journey.

Illustration of a Tarsunt from Star Wars wearing a stained apron and wiping his hands on a rag. Surrounding him is a simple illustration of his marketplace stall, as well as examples of the many kinds of meat sold there and the knives he uses
Hupa Tobb: Tarsunt Butcher. Butcher Hupa Tobb has been supplying fresh meat to the outpost for decades, working with local farmers to slice and sell meat from the native Volipede herds as well as off-world meat such as eopie and nerf. Genial and hardworking, he is known to play favorites, keeping choice cuts for his favorite fellow merchants. His tent has one of the few industrial cooling units on the planet to keep his stock fresh and unspoiled.
Day 1
Tarsunt Butcher
Rendering of a reddish desert planet from space, dotted with hundreds of tiny lakes.
The planet Apheloma is an out of the way expansion world along the Rimma trade route. An arid world dotted with hundreds of saline lakes, the only sign of civilization is an ancient temple of unknown origin thought to be tens of thousands of years old. Although it held no strategic importance or natural resources, Apheloma was a crucial last stop refueling station before the long hyperspace jumps towards the outer Rimma. For centuries a small but dedicated outpost has existed in the ruins of the temple where passers-through can stock up on supplies and food at the busy marketplace before their final leg of travel. It was due to of this crucial juncture that the Empire set up a checkpoint garrison at the temple to monitor ship activity for pirates, suspected rebels, and other dissidents. After the Emperor's fall, the occupants of the outpost took over the garrison for themselves, converting it to a hotel. The Greatwhistle Marketplace is made up of a wide variety of stalls arranged in the outer courtyards of the temple, selling anything a long-term traveler might need, including many local specialties like the puffed pod of a highly nutritious native plant, the meat and "milk" of the Volipede (a large species of domesticated insect) and beautiful hand-carved stone replicas of the temple's many mysterious statues. A wide range of peoples, many from similarly arid planets run these stalls, and have called the planet home for centuries.
Noutpost November 2025
As usual we begin with an intro to the setting. This year it's a marketplace.
Ugh now people will only know that one and not go to the Mars downtown
hey what the hell is wrong with you
Dang I canβt believe I almost missed Hugh Jackmanβs birthday!
Hey quit it
I love occasionally being reminded that there are the cool kind of weirdos with hyperfixations on the internet. Like I follow this Japanese person twitter who almost exclusively posts beautifully rendered drawings of the pokemon Hitmonlee wearing fashionable outfits.
how did you place in Nancy trivia?
