A I Voted sticker from a mail ballot
Patrick Dillon @mpdillon 4h For political folks who have not particularly given Iowa any close thought in 4 or 8 years, an extremely salient fact to know right now is it has a brutal 6 week abortion ban that had a year’s worth of judicial review and went into effect this summer.
And for people looking for the why of it, remember that the abortion bans in Iowa recently went into effect:
In general I hope the bigger (or any) accounts are not shy of blocking. Look through some of their other posts, and if there’s a trend, that trend will always continue.
Ah, gotcha, good to know
Can I just point out Avalon is amazing for being one of only ones making the leap from national news to actually running for something? Not many polls in NY01, it but looks like he's about 3 points away from LaLota, aiming to flip the seat:

Brandi Buchman @Brandi_Buchman 1h Having a reaaaaaal hard time believe they'd pour millions of dollars into something like Project 2025 and then shut it down.
Am not buying that they'll scale back anything one bit. They're saying "you're not supposed to pay attention to us"
emptywheel (seiceáil) @emptywheel 24m Quick Tl;dr on Page and Strzok lawsuit. Both sued for Privacy Act violation. I was told years ago their claim had merit. DOJ apparently agrees bc it just settled with them for > $million. But Strzok had a SEPARATE suit for how he was fired. That goes forward.
They got so much harassment thrown at them for years and years; am glad they get at least something from the settlement (similar with McCabe). And Pete's other lawsuit goes forward:
A graph showing that polling methods have greatly diversified from phone polling since 2000.
I think it's helpful to see how much polling has diversified over time (due to things like non response-bias and more). I'm sure it made the math side of polling more complicated, but makes knowing the non-math side that much more useful and important for the average reader.
And if you get verified on X, your data and identification is sent to Israeli Au10tix:

Boebert, Trump, Gaetz - no man, woman, or child is feeling quite comfortable in that courtroom
Also Trump has been asleep at least three times just today, if I read correctly - not exactly an innocent man en fuego with righteous indignation who'd be intently following along with every word

So the next question we can actually ask is: Given the news of RFK Jr.’s brain worms, does that help Democrats or Republicans more in November?
Santos is like: "I stole from a dying dog's lifesaving surgery fund, but at least I didn't brutally murder it, come on Kristi"

And just before all of this, she was explaining her position of "It's a 'tragedy' not to force rape victims to give birth"
Clearly the smart pivot for Pro-Life™ Noem was to then boast about murdering puppies.

@EliotHiggins This is a good time to remember not to believe everything you read on the internet, especially people who quickly claim to have identified the person of interest in an event like this, and not to reshare speculation spun as facts

If you took an average of their total interactions, I would bet it would be close to that
