Great riding conditions yesterday in Gloucestershire. Not been out as much as I'd like this summer so when I do get out I enjoy every minute.

It's been 4 years since I've been off road riding. Lost most of the little skill I gained, but had a blast any way. Good to be back at the Forest of Dean where I used to film, it's such a good place, something for all skill levels 👌
Such a diagnosis should result in an immediate ban. People need to prepare for the day they may not be able to drive. This could mean looking at places to live with walkable amenities, fighting for better infrastructure for active travel and public transport etc.
Why is this up to families? What if there is no family, don't live in the area or aren't in contact? There should be a direct link GP use to trigger a required test if there's doubt. Certain diagnosis should come with an immediate ban. A licence is a privilege not a right.

People never think they won't be able to drive (carbrain and all). Rather we should all be preparing our plan B for when that day arrives. There also need to be more checks for being fit to drive. Too many elderly (and young!) who are not fit to be behind the wheel.

Interesting, we built this road for cars, but hardly anybody uses it. Clearly, this is a waste of taxpayer money.
Funny how the same logic gets thrown at bike lanes, ignoring how their lack of safety and poor design often keep people from using them.
The book Adrift (by @lisabrideau ) is set in the near future. In it the Americans are climate refugees trying to get into Canada due to the lack of preparation. Perhaps this reality is closer than the Americans would like to believe. 🤔
