Learning some low-poly 3D modeling and PS1-style texturing and vertex-painting by making a Dark Souls inspired door/archway.
designing a secret language for my game #gamedev
in addition to solar systems it has procedurally generated history, culture, puzzles, graphics, so might just be...
drawing some new sprites, this one turned out alright #pixelart
Yeah there are some crazy attempts to procedurally generate everything such as Ultima Ratio Regum
first pass on the procedural dungeon generation for my roguelike #gamedev #indiedev
Good point, this is actually giving me ideas haha...
I just thought about going inside a large enough backpack (or maybe a chest or crate), then waiting for someone or something to pick it up. So, smuggling yourself, basically. Or just rolling around the level inside the backpack/crate, as a sort of camouflage lol.
Shit that's on my wishlist, i gotta play it at some point.
This is giving me ideas...
just fixed a bug where the player was able to pick themselves up (maybe it should be a feature though...?)

Visual scripting when using Unreal (haven't had to fallback to C++ yet).
C# when using Unity.
GDScript when using Godot (though I wanna try out C# with Godot).
And probably Odin if I write my own engine.
Basic video game genres that have been around since the 80s are buzzwords? ๐
Being aware of popular ideas that have influenced gaming for decades could make someone a better game designer ๐คท
Code that reads: // verbose, repetitive :( list.Select(e => e.Thing()) // cool and amazing list.Select(.Thing())
Also:
I would say it's more of a Witness-like, but yeah also some Myst in there for sure ๐
