I lost all trans health coverage but "don't worry you can pay cash" for meds.

The pharmacy called and said they cancelled all my meds because in fact paying cash when coverage excludes hormones is not an option.

I'm pretty sure that's not how it works but I see a lot of phone calls

Can we call it what it is: saying the state has an interest in compelling individuals to "appreciate their sex" opens the door wide for compulsory detransition.

Not just that it could be done, but also the legal basis for overruling civil rights concerns, a "legitimate interest"

I don't know, it's specific to SSA, so if your state ID doesn't match your social security record they withhold some of your check. If you did change your social security record, there were rumors that those changes were being reverted but I believe nothing was determined for sure.

Hey #AlaskaSky , just another potential heads up. Just filed my PFD and forgot that the state compares all your info with SSA. If, like me, you have changed your gender or name, be aware that SSA may have reverted those changes and this will be an expensive way to find out.

Yeah I have no argument why we shouldn't have to go through this, but even when Reconstruction was still going, when the South had been militarily destroyed and leaders were under interdiction the terrorism of the Klan, "outlaws" and other remnant confederates was a horror show its own.

3/x Either way, the goal was to replace the GNC patient before them with the closest possible facsimile of a cis (het, normative in family and career etc) person, either by transition if possible or rejection if necessary.

2/x The point of transition wasn't mental health, it was training the subject to hide, to be stealth, to never admit to what has happened and to never be caught out. If they didn't think you could manage, they would stall you out indefinitely or even just turn you away.
