If you did not respond to that email and wish to accept the deferred resignation offer, you may do so by following these steps. 1) Send an email to hr@opm.gov from your government account. Only an email from your .gov or .mil account will be accepted. 2) Type the word "Resign" into the "Subject" line of the email. Hit "Send".

One thing I can promise is that if you are a federal employee who takes a bootleg "deferred resignation" offer written by some grimy little Elon Musk wannabe that is purportedly effective upon putting the magic word RESIGN in the subject of an email, you will never see a dime of that money

The key takeaway is that the world’s richest man got what he wanted; stripped our cancer funding for kids, killed reforms to bring down drugs prices and caps on investment in China. Trump on the other hand demanded a debt ceiling raise and got nothing.

I legit think the cynical promotion of this this is one of the most brazen acts of public evil I’ve ever seen because there is *no tradeoff* in any way that counts, there’s no complicated externality, it’s just fucking letting people, mainly children die for the hell of it.
