This is how it should be done.
I missed the comma at the first read through. Thought we might have a former Steeler AND someone that just goes by ‘Vodvarka.’
Ooooohhh….yeah….i think I had repressed the memory of reading about him. Yikes.

"Oh, no, trust me, this other guy was a real piece of work."
I'm almost scared to read about the dude.
@pirates.com Marketing folks: The Gateway 'Chipper.' Make it happen.
Late ‘50s Pitt bball action.
I don’t recall them even really doing anything back when the move to the Pete was made, which was unfortunate. A half century of basketball and all we got was a shoulder shrug.
I enjoy baking cookies, too. But it's much more a 'do I feel like it' situation.
Reach out to the local Girl Scout troop and have them ship instead. Saves time and energy.
Is there a website that catalogues each and every t206 Wagner known to exist? Given how collector (or other) names get attached to these as identifiers, I’d be a little surprised if there wasn’t some kind of database. @sabrbbcards.bsky.social
Does anyone still watch Mythic Quest? Asking for a friend...
Yes! Parkside showing up in the giveaway thread, love it!
Yep, that’s definitely how it looked, like if Martha’s skate wasn’t there, his chance at making that save would’ve been even worse.
I don't know how things might have changed had they been up 2-0 at that point....but it felt really evident that Toronto was following the absolute letter of the law on this. It almost looked like Igor actually got better leverage from the touch with Mantha's skate.

Carlos Bernier broke the color barrier for the Pirates in 1953.
He spent just one season in the majors but piled up, over his entire professional career, Bernier racked up 3,500 hits and 900 stolen bases, earning Hall of Fame honors in Puerto Rico and the Pacific Coast League.

One more for Honus, this time with a whole cavalcade of stars.
More senior Honus, again.
Great read. Now that this mystery is wrapped up, we have to figure out how to recruit @justmckinney.bsky.social to find non-cartoon images of 19c @pirates.com owners J. Palmer O'Neil and Phil Auten.🤣
Fantastic stuff, Justin!
