I always figure that, if I'm angry, I'm probably misunderstanding something. And usually, it's true. It's a good thing to keep in mind. (And it's way healthier than randomly starting fights all the time in discord. Dude seriously chill out. This game is from 2001. What are you doing.)

But the end point is enjoying what you're doing. I could talk all day about writing practice, but it's less important. Just find something you enjoy and do it. Cut away anything else, don't worry about it. It doesn't matter.

A good and experienced roleplayer will usually work with you while you're learning. This doesn't mean to use your partners as unpaid teachers when they're just trying to have fun, too. But they will, for a time, and you shouldn't feel guilty for it.

I know things are overwhelming, but just take it one step at a time. If anyone tries to pull rank on you, just move on. If someone is unkind, move on. There's plenty more people. Don't let it change how you approach others about this.

My heart goes out to everyone that is getting into the rp scene for the first time. Know that people will help you, know that people are excited to see you. Remember that reading is 90% of writing, and that taking OOC is free.

Someday, I want to write a primer on roleplay for people who are new or inexperienced. But teaching is not easy, and writing likes to look simple, so it would be well out there. But, you know, someday.

Circling back to this lol. Watching this 20y scar drag himself across the landscape for six months certainly has been interesting. But when the admin genuinely ask your org why they haven't removed your toxic ass yet, maybe its time to step back and observe things, friend.

It's always so interesting to see people who've been in the RP scene for years but haven't been able to pull themselves out of really beginner-style methods of thinking about it. Yeah I'm kind of making a dig, but the piq doesn't even go here so it's fine really.

Wow I've been spamming these guys for the last couple of weeks, They're for the character selector screen in my animation but have been fun to draw as their own project. might do another ten, for a treat. Tag urself.

I keep seeing people say “yeah but ppl who make weird stuff get passed over/gate kept/shut out/isolated” in response to “make weird art” and that’s true! But the whole point is: make it anyway. Build an honest community with like minded people. Be brave. Be you. Make something that matters.

I use gradient maps! I don't have any examples on my computer, but I absolutely recommend playing around with them. They're powerful, fun, and versatile.

Wondering if anyone could help me by writing/providing a form of some sort that I could fill out for each picture and follow as a standard.

Ok, I have a question for people who work with accessibility and specifically alt text.

I want to add alt text to my images. But I have OCD, and trying to write that becomes a huge, elaborate rabbithole that I will get stuck in for 60+ minutes before just panicking. (cont)
