This is a four-day, hands-on, Earth and Space science experience featuring planetary scientists Dr. Kirby Runyon and astronomer Dr. Pamela Gay - and myself, an education technologist focused on space.
Geothermal features of Bumpass Hell in Lassen Volcanic National Park are similar to the surface of Io, which may also harbor extremophile life. Giant lava tubes in Subway Caves are analogous to places human's might shelter on the Moon or Mars.
