I'm not headed to GAMA! I hope everyone stays safe and has a blast.
🥳 My next con is Dice Tower West.
I never ask companies for games with INTENT to later sell, because honestly selling games for income isn't worth the storage space and time.
A note: I've shipped games back to publishers because they've asked, and they didn't cover shipping. Publishers should be clear & cover their costs too. 4/4
IF a company offers me free games at any point (Handing copies to me to check out at GenCon, through email pitches, event giveaways) then I feel completely fine selling later on. I LOVE board games. I want them all! But sometimes I don't have room, so I have to do what I can and then sell them. 3/4
If they're talking about what to do if a person reviews a game: I'm not sure I fit 100% into this category because I don't "review" games. I usually work with publishers during crowdfunding. At the end I email them asking what I should do with their copy & communicate clearly if I can't keep it. 2/4
I talk about this all the time, including last week. I missed the conversation on BlueSky and now one of the posts is deleted, so not sure what I missed. 1/4
