For example, my best friend plays Pokémon go, collects the cards, has a handful of plushies, and has a collection of playmats that she cycles through as mouse pads. And she's literally never played a mainline Pokémon game before.
At this point it feels like Pokémon is an IP with a video game branch, rather than the other way around. They're so huge with toys, clothing/accessories, movies, shows, apps, the tcg, that the video games just feel like another piece of that insanely massive pie.

It feels like we're in a bit of a social media black hole right now. All the big ones are being ran by weirdo billionaires and the user base feels like a reflection of it. While the small ones feel too small to have an effective and cohesive group relationship.
part of the joke here is that "1024-bit" is almost universally a bad thing for cryptography. it's either overkill or not enough, depending on the algorithm (and it's completely meaningless unless the algorithm is specified). but hey, it's a bigger number than 256.
