Oh lord NTL! I worked on their faults line for two years. My acting experience managed to get me promoted to 'Soft Skills' trainer (teaching people how to deal with difficult, irate customers, i.e. most of them.) Best advice I could give was "find out what the customer wants and give it to them"
I feel validated. Often, I think I'm the only person who remembers a time (I can't pinpoint it, somewhere before 1990) when both ABBA and Star Wars were universally considered (if at all) a bit naff and irredeemably sad. It's a kind of bad-taste Mandela effect for me.
