From my understanding, part of it is to give way/transition to programs like HADES, which can fly in less permissive environments. Also other benefits with jet-based ISR compared to turboprop like speed, range, etc. I’m sure someone more informed than me can offer more/better insight though.

KC-46 (ARRIS46/18-46041) 17 miles away with an apparently unmarked white C-32B in tow just now. The aerial refueling capable C-32Bs are one of the more secretive aircraft in the U.S. Government inventory, providing clandestine support for the State Dept's FEST team, special operations and the CIA.

I am aware. I was referring to the fact that the DHS looks to have gotten two of the actual planes from that program, sans all the program equipment.
At least two of the air frames live on with the DHS now iirc
