Vaccine refusal does not only harm the unvaccinated person. Infectious disease can spread to infants too young to be vaccinated, the elderly, and people with immunosuppression. Worse, as a pathogen spreads, more infections means more chances for mutations that allow the pathogen to evade vaccines.

A few people seem to be getting satisfaction from the fact that kids are getting seriously ill because their parents have refused to vaccinate them. I want to state for the record that I am 100% opposed to this type of thinking. These are kids. It was not their choice. They don’t deserve it.
