The cats are 3 and 8 years old, respectively, and are super pair bonded. As far as our neighbor knows from the vet they are in good health with no weird surprises. If her husband wasn't allergic they'd consider keeping them, but are reaching out to either get them adopted or fostered by someone else

the tuxedo cat is VERY excitedly staring up at the camera with dilated pupils, so cute!
the first gray tabby, cuddling with/bathing a long haired tuxedo cat who is much smaller than them. The smaller kitty seems to be totally fine with this.
Both cats, gray tabby + tuxedo are sharing a bed in a cat tower. The tabby is asleep, the tuxedo is looking with interest at the camera.
