I’m not really a crochet person but I have some yarn I made last year that I had been wanting to use. I have been imagining a cute berries and cream sort of coquette blanket. Hopefully it works out!

The last of last year’s wool. I’m still not sure what I will do with it but I am already recurving wool from this year so that will have to wait on the back burner for a bit.

I took a quick break from my large rug project to make this cowl for my sister. Super easy, just stockinette stitch knit in a round for a simple, clean look (I think I co. 82 stitches).

It’s her first spring and she is realizing she can watch the birds while lounging on the window sill. It’s wonderful to see her living her best life when we weren’t sure if she would survive the night when she was rescued.

it is so true about fast fashion. old skills are becoming a luxury in the face of mass production. while I wish I could just tell everyone to start regaining their own means of production, I am not sure what a non cost prohibitive answer is to both be accessible and appealing to people.

I love the fabric that this rug pattern makes. It’s so simple and soft! Knitting a large rug for the bedroom is definitely one of the more ambitious projects I have started. It’s a small luxury to make a home filled with handmade items.
