Niiice, I think it’s pretty great so far, but I really need to source another 8580R5 or just go with ARMSID/sidkick pico. Ultisid needs some thickening
Your board will be superior I think, but still would be nice if you could actually get it. Did you buy the Gideon elite or are you using an original mobo?
oh nooooo, it’s frustrating knowing that it’s just an all in one combo especially for everyone like you. I will say that the keyboard is the worst part of this though, so they skimped on the mounting and the mechboard would be better. There isn’t even a switch plate, just pcb mounted switches
the new ultimates rip honestly, finally getting to c64 after 15 years of waiting

Looking at the documentation, it seems like we'll have options for stereo, as well as individual panning of each integrated fpga SID
Armsid sounds great, sidkick pico is mostly good but affordable, and kung fu sid is amazing but requires getting pcbs/components and building them out. crossing my fingers for the fpga implementation being good enough for dipping my toes into tracking
Also grabbed one, excited to see where this goes. Real happy that almost everything to make this happen already exists. The cases, keycaps, and the main board have already been sold under different folks for a bit. So, it should be a relatively smooth release

If you're set on not going digital though, the lomo' instant has some options that might be worth looking at. Bought mine in Prague and it's been a fun camera for years.
