Pixel art of 12 different cheeses, all placed in a grid against a purple background. From left to right first row, alpine style, blue cheese, brie, loire valley goat cheese. Second row, bandaged wrapped cheddar, a wedge of gouda, bark wrapped cheese, washed rine cheese. Bottom row, tomme style, mozzarella, leaf wrapped blue cheese, block cheddar.
What's your favorite style of cheese?
Comics are the oldest medium of storytelling and need to stop acting like they’re in any way a lesser beast than film, prose, tv, etc.
This is my long-held belief about visual arts in general.
Comics, Illustration, Fine Arts, Design…they are all distinct disciplines.
Distinct histories.
Distinct trajectories.
They overlap sometimes, yes, but we need to stop placing Fine Art on a pedestal for the others to aspire toward.
Always fascinating when the powers that be try to defuse decentralized, grassroots action by saying "hey, your leaders said to stop. You know, your leaders who got you to do to this. What do you mean you don't know who we're talking about?"
Man idk why people nowadays want a creator’s permission/approval to support a ship. Do y’all not just ship characters you think would be good together?
good luck with your finals!!

I love making small edits over and over again.
I think an important point of Sanji is, when it comes to his past, he's ashamed. He's ashamed of Germa, of being from the North, and he's ashamed of Zeff saving him. Getting these answers from Sanji is pulling teeth, every point of his life HE believes he's the worthless burden.
got a dust comm so i had to figure out how to draw the guy

it owl putt his cute blonde ass into such a logic error, he'd have no choice but to comply! >:D
*shuffling around in my room* Now where did I put my sparkly pink dildo?✨💦 🤔
I'm going to kiss and cuddle and peg self-confidence into this man until he's a sobbing mess on his pillow, because I know by his own logic of how he treats women, that if I told him that I believe he's not a burden and thinking otherwise would essentially be him calling me a liar -1
side note I love the way this panelling and framing is done. removing the background and changing the mood isntantly to make sure we have a LOCK IN focus on what Sanji is telling us here. Just awesome.
But this is why scenes like 'nothing happened', with Sanji trying to replace Zoro for the sacrifice, makes SENSE. It's why Sanji even believing he's replaceable makes SENSE. It's why Sanji thinking Luffy won't follow him to WCI makes SENSE. He just truly believes he's a burden.
And finding out what Zeff did for Sanji was because Sanji was desperate, he was pushed to announce his shame in an extreme attempt to keep the Baratie alive. In all ways he talks about it, it's him saying it's ME! It's MY fault! It's clear he's ashamed of even thinking about it.
But this is why he'll never mention it, why he'll never talk about it, he's ashamed of all of it. Even when it came to finding out he's from the north, that was a total slip up on Sanji's part - to the point he quickly moves topics because he doesn't want to talk about his past.
but also imagine how shitty Sanji would've felt every time he saw Zeff's missing leg. He went from being told he's worthless by his blood father, to believing he ruined his saviour's life. He would've HATED hated himself on the Baratie no wonder he was picking fights ALL the time
I gen feel like this when I get my hands on Sanji
don't get me wrong Oda can and does backtrack, we'll never fully know what he foreshadowed and what he improvised. But Sanji's whole first arc was him being a sacrificial lamb because he believed he wasn't worth saving. He straight up calls himself worthless LOL
I think Sanji discussions come down to ppl not understanding you can have pride and confidence in your ABILITIES and SKILLS, but you can still hate YOURSELF. Especially when those skills are being used to consistently help people specifically and not fully for your own self.
I feel crazy cause the second we got to the Baratie backstory I was like "yup couldn't be clearer that this guy hates himself" WHAT IS GOING OOOON
guy who has two arcs and multiple moments about how he'd rather be a sacrificial lamb than a burden is very totally normal. Normal guy!
are there genuinely ppl out there that think Sanji is mentally and emotionally stable I really don't know what everyone is reading here 😭😭
I had a zoom meeting today with some event I scheduled and the lady was like "can you turn on your camera?" and ofc she saw my whole Sanji wall and was really trying hard not to address it I felt like a fucking chud LMFAO
Roger is sexy as fuuuuck he had to be nerfed with an illness
oh I KNOW Sanji was NOT letting Zoro drive here LMFAOOO
