Mike, you brought lots memories with mention of Garrett. Bears were dregs of the NFL under in '74 when they acquired Garrett and we were excited in Chicago. He had two mediocre years due to lack of supporting cast. Jim Finks was brought in '75 to "modernize" and laid the groundwork for '85 SB team.
Duane Thomas is another one of those great "what if's" in NFL history. Guy could have been in play for being a top ten all-time back, but...
