Labour deliver. In fact if Rachel Reeves had not taken the tough decisions the UK would be in a mess. Now the economy is strong enough. Tory & Reform policy epitomized by Truss is based on a roll of a dice end of & that worsened most people's lives & supercharged the cost of living crisis!

Does the US lifting sanctions mean we all have too? I do hope that this is not the case and we can act without this buffoon lead nation telling us what we can and can't do

NEW: Keir Starmer has asked new Ethics and Integrity Commission to tighten financial disclosures, lobbying and business appointment rules. There will also be a review of national security vetting process following Mandelson case.

Are you for real, read the Employment Rights act, free breakfast clubs, extra free childcare hours, Better Start centres, the changes to apprenticeships, rise in minumum wage, rise in UC, renationalising rail franchise by franchise etc. OK you don't like Labour but don't dismiss all the positives.

The issue has never particularly been the original daft Sun feature, which (as Greens like to note) was more than a decade ago. It's been the almost entirely unnecessary dishonesty around it, which is much more recent.

When I asked Zack Polanski about his brief if memorable career as a breast size-enhancing hypnotherapist, he told me that it was never about actual breast size, just body image.
This was not the case, and this new BBC article - and audio clip – makes that plainer.

The landlord raised by Labour MP Siobhain McDonagh for making hundreds of his tenants homeless through no-fault evictions is Asif Aziz. Predictably, he lives in Abu Dhabi to enjoy its favourable tax climate.

Remember when Nigel Farage did a big speech about always being consistent and never bending to pressure?
Can we all agree to not believe a word he says?

Strange how none of Farage or Badenoch’s real u turns are reported and highlighted in our media. Whereas if Starmer consults, listens and changes his opinion it’s mega headlines for days.

Agreed, but not sure that the communicated message is an honest/full one. The article suggested that the carrier was in the media (sent south) rather than Baltics (assume that is where in Eastern Europe it was); that is good progress indeed, and apologies for my error.

Absolutely, I have been saying the same almost since day one. Starmer is an old style politician, not flash, in fact rather boring, but he simply gets on with his job so we can get on with our lives. That's how politics should be imo

Polanski's strategy. Endlessly repeating delusional takes on what Starmer/Labour are doing, over and over. Even when disproved, they just repeat it again, except with increasingly emotive shrieks and phrasing.
Don't call them populists though, apparently they don't like that reality either.

Labour MPs just voted to expand free school meals to half a million more children, lifting 100,000 children out of poverty.
The Tories and Reform UK voted against.
Only Labour will give children growing up in our country the best start in life.

A bit of unnecessary posturing by the French here. It was fortuitouse their one and only aircraft carrier was at sea in the Med already. But such a floating runway not really needed in an area awash with military airfields

This is why diversity with the armed forces is so important. If the military are unable to attract applicants from across a broad spectrum of backgrounds, genders, etc it can't hope to meet it's recruitment targets; and yes, in some areas this requires positive action

Starmer is a decent guy, and has handled the complexities of the Iranian situation very well, including resisting a mad US President trying to drag the UK into an illegal war which has no UN mandate. I simply can't understand why there is this constant barrage of criticism and hate.
