Tomorrow 😜 I’m too full today now haha. I walked past an amazing looking Okonomiyaki place that I’m going back to.

A lovely day soaking in the history and sights of Osaka Castle, followed by a trip into Namba for more retro shopping, then Gyoza and Takoyaki for dinner 😳

Aye it’s wild like. I don’t blame folk for not wanting to support as many comics on Kickstarter now. There’s so many of them live at any one time

Ah yeah, I’m talking production plus post. I guarantee that some postage prices on campaigns are undercutting the true cost - or the costs rise between funding and shipping (that happened to me with Killtopia 5 and it almost wiped out my savings)

This is one of the reasons I don’t make comics that often now. The expense is ludicrous.

I don’t know how other folk are constantly putting out new books via Kickstarter and not losing money on them - especially when their targets are like £1-2k.

Are they using loans? Credit?

Universal Studios Japan has been incredible.

It was weirdly emotional to walk through the pipe at the entrance, only to step out into the Mushroom Kingdom. I’ll never forget it 😅

Today I hopped the Shinkansen to Osaka, hit up the awesome Dotenbori district, and hunted for a few more retro games. Now it’s curry time 😅

The way to the bar is the same walkway the wrestlers use to come in and out of the ring, so I’m standing patiently for them to pass 😅

An absolutely stunning day of checking out Yokohama, before hopping to the coast for a cycle around Kamakura with an old game pal from the game journalism days.

Coincidentally my wife and I went there last time we visited Japan 😅

We also randomly found a Yoda themed bar too 😅 Golden Gai is fun but those cover charges can be a bit ‘oof’

Kabukicho, Shinjuku. 8:30am - this area always feels so different during the morning.

At night it’s buzzing with people out partying, grabbing a bite (and more…)

It’s so much more peaceful in the morning.
