Abortion is essential healthcare, and Roe made that clear. But now that the Dobbs decision has made access to abortion even more difficult, we must not forget that having the right to an abortion is not enough.

We must give people the ability to access abortions no matter their location or income.

On today’s anniversary of Roe v. Wade, we reflect on how much was lost when it was overturned and acknowledge that it was never enough.

Today is the 53rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the ruling that established a constitutional right to abortion.

Since it was overturned in 2022, millions of patients have lost access to this essential care because of abortion bans.
