Can I tell you a secret? I don't care if there are undocumented immigrants in this country. I think it's a non-issue. Without social security numbers they're not getting the welfare people claim they're getting, the vast majority of them are normal people trying to live a better life. This whole wall deport-the-illegals bullshit is just the one percent convincing the working poor to blame a subset of the working poor for the fact that they're all poor, instead of realizing they're all poor due to vast income inequality and resource price inflation in combination with wage stagnation. I love how conservatives think that people under 18 are “too young to make decisions” until it’s time to force teenagers to give birth, recruit for the military, or chastise people for being in poverty because they dropped out of high school.

Also do people really think that education used to be a paradise for kids who couldn’t sit still and do what was expected of them? Do they think that most kids in the 20th century got movement breaks and project-based learning?

Love that they’re blaming underpaid, mostly female teachers for an educational system men created…

I substitute taught for a year and the number of excuses people made for boys’ bad behavior was wild. I have ADHD myself and I know firsthand that kids can sit still if they’re expected to.

Seriously friends, 99% of my cases are things nobody ever hears about. 99% of my activism isn't shit I post about.

Assuming people only do what you see on social media isn't just inaccurate, it's actively harmful.

The main conservative emotions are disgust and contempt. Most of them know on some level that the people they hate are no actual threat to them. They just can’t stand the idea of people not knowing their place.

My longtime suspicion that the vast majority of conservative fear and anger are performative just keeps getting proven correct.
