It does not beg to be understood.
It simply stands there. That glorious pink box, brutally heavy in the foot yet strangely tender at the crown. Our fourth place hero with no aspirations for the podium. Unapologetic. Unrefined. There it is.

Exciting update for my Millenial+ followers. I havenβt kept my Flickr account up since getting engaged in July, but fear not. I am back on the task.

Also the "leave or you're nuts!" he threw at an entire city's parents shows a level of privilege and disconnect that discredits this man from ever representing other people's stories.
I've seen nothing but heroes on these streets and he would be lucky to have his kids grow up in their company.
Dude's whole bit was dressing extraction up as celebration. His soul was never in it for anything other than to be in the center of the frame.

Minneapolis city council president Elliott Payne (front left in video) has been an absolute champ throughout the ICE invasion. Some of our MN leaders have been useless or worse, but Payne and some other council members have been heroic.
Abigail and I took a salsa dancing class thinking itβd be a romantic Valentines afternoon but they shuffled everyone around so i just learned about eye contact while moving with some guy who looked like Tony Soprano.
Out the door.
This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paulβan hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.
Maya is an incredible restaurant. Go show them some love if you're in Northeast Minneapolis.
They plan to be open Weds-Fri moving forward.
Wondering what to order? I am a sucker for the Maya burrito. They fit a whole chile relleno in that bad boy + whatever else you want.
They are also offering buy-one-get-one-free burritos tomorrow. So there's really no excuse. Bring a friend.
