THE HILL SENATE Hawley introduces bill to remove FDA approval for Mifepristone BY ALEXANDER BOLTON - 03/11/26 5:29 PM ET

THE HILL
Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) on Wednesday unveiled legislation to remove Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for the use of mifepristone to end pregnancies, a bill that has quickly gained the support of major anti-abortion groups.
The legislation is an ambitious undertaking given the drug's widespread use in the United States, where an estimated 7.5 million women have used it to terminate pregnancies since the FDA approved its use in 2000. It accounted for 63 percent of all abortions in the U.S. in 2023.
But mifepristone, which when combined with the drug misoprostol can end pregnancies at up to 70 days of gestation, has become a major target of the anti-abortion movement. President Trump has sought to satisfy those anti-abortion voices by launching an FDA review of the drug, which has not been completed.
Hawley says the ability of doctors to prescribe the drug across state lines has led to rampant abuse and alleges that incidences of adverse health effects are far more common than the drug's maker, Danco Laboratories, has acknowledged.

While we’re worried about the war, the Epstein files, drone attacks in CA…
Josh Hawley and Republicans are taking this moment to push legislation to strip FDA approval for Mifepristone

The assaults on Americans are coming from inside the house.

UPDATE: Trump says Kushner helped convince him to go to war with Iran The disclosure highlights Kushner's massive financial conflicts.

Maybe it's just me, but I think more people should be talking about the fact that Jared Kushner helped convince Trump to start a war with Iran.

Meanwhile, Kushner's top client, Saudi Arabia, which pays Kushner $25 million+ annually, was also lobbying Trump to start a war.

At the same time, the Israeli government has halted the entry of the agreed quantities of food, humanitarian aid, medical supplies, and basic shelter materials. Living conditions in Gaza are deteriorating rapidly while Palestinians remain trapped with nowhere safe to go. (3/4)

America seriously needs to heal to past the point where the only concerns when it comes to illegal and butcherous wars are just gas prices and the loss of American lives.

ICE detainee in Arizona dies after not receiving medical attention for severe tooth pain Emmanuel Damas, a Haitian asylum seeker, was being held at the Florence correctional center before he died

A Haitian asylum seeker detained by ICE died after being refused timely medical attention for a severe toothache.

At least 40 people have died in ICE custody since Trump took office — a two-decade high.

The monstrous cruelty of Trump's police state knows no bounds.

2/ This effort was both domestic and international, constituted a criminal conspiracy involving election fraud and illegal donations and tax fraud and illegal foreign election interference, and Donald Trump was well aware of it. He needed these women paid off, but would not or could not pay himself.

Leading NYC Jewish groups raise ‘deep concerns’ over Mamdani’s latest extremist associations UJA-Federation of New York called Mamdani’s recent gatherings with Mahmoud Khalil and Abdullah Akl a betrayal to his pledge to battle antisemitism

We need to stop accepting that these are "leading Jewish groups." They are not democratically accountable to the majority of American Jews, and I suspect the majority of NYC Jews do not care if Mamdani shares iftar with Mahmoud Khalil. I certainly do not! jewishinsider.com/2026/03/mamd...

ABC News: Many military members may get care at hospitals at risk of financial distress — partly due to Trump cuts

Before throwing a new generation of troops into war, they made sure to:

Torpedo our VA.
Enact the biggest health care cut in history.
Shutter hospitals.

Don’t you dare tell me you care about our heroes when you're doing everything you can to undermine care when they get home.

turns out that the goals of "get foreign populace to rise up at great personal risk against a legitimately oppressive and evil regime" and "lethalitymaxxing without regard for human life, civilian infrastructure, or that populace's cultural treasures" are not entirely congruent with one another

Leaked documents show the US Border Patrol being remade in the image of Gregory Bovino. Example: last November "guidance was issued across the Border Patrol to clarify how to smash suspects’ car windows and extract them from vehicles while minimizing legal liability."

Media coverage of this needs to start with informing people that the JCPOA existed, what it did, that it was working, & that Trump unilaterally destroyed it, & inform them that anything now is almost certain to fall short of that.
