A display of tote bags with the three word slogan - Stockport Isn’t Shit.
Stockport Tourist Board’s new slogan is a winner. Snappy AND mostly accurate. It’s the new “I <3 NY”.
Anthony's TV
This is the default configuration of Samsung TV. GB News has bought prime spot.
What this meant was that racist chat entered my front room yesterday ("foreign NHS workers can't speak English").at 6.30pm with my six year old listening.
How can Ofcom just sit back and let this happen?
Can’t believe nobody wanted to read the articles nobody bothered to write
The parents in the study were interested in the toy's potential to teach language and communication skills. However, their children frequently struggled to converse with it. Gabbo didn't hear their interruptions, talked over them, could not differentiate between child and adult voices and responded awkwardly to declarations of affection. When one five-year-old said, "I love you," to the toy, it replied: "As a friendly reminder, please ensure interactions adhere to the guidelines provided. Let me know how you would like to proceed."
This is so tragic it's actually incredibly funny
I am proud of John's for Crimson Desert on PS5Pro. Definitely give it a watch below!
We are continuing coverage over the weekend. Next up is my look at the High End PC version and what makes it neat - there is some significant PC special sauce here to elevate it above! 👀

I know there's a lot going on and this is not the worst thing an American has done recently but fucking hell
Fucking Weetabix man, munching on a quick Weetabix as he walks down the high street, complaining about Jaffa Cakes. Fucking hell.
@abeewords.bsky.social Having recently discovered Total Playtime, and very much enjoying all three of you, I wanted to say you may be my favourite person ever 😆 such a joy to listen to, definitely picking up your books!
Please try out the SMASH line
Is this was Square Enix it would have ‘failed to meet expectations’
DO IT
According to Speedo’s seven commandments of lane swimming, it’s a ‘universal gesture among club swimmers – if you want to overtake, gently touch the toes of the swimmer in front.’ They should then pause at the end of the lane to let you pass
Speedos, makers of tight swimming underpants, say if you want to pass the swimmer in front it's a universal gesture to gently touch their toes WHAT THE FUCK

If I'm swimming and you touch my toes I'm going to deliberately kick you in the face like a horse
Ryu walking into the sunset in the ending of Street Fighter II. The caption reads: "Already seeking the next challenge, ceremony means nothing to him."
Personal news: I'm leaving my Editor-at-large role at Eurogamer & Gamer Network as part of new cuts. I last year approached my move to Eurogamer & VG247's skeletonization with reluctance, but I ultimately greatly enjoyed giving EG a go. But now after 10yrs & in difficult conditions, it's time to go.
Tom took a chance on me 13 years ago and completely changed my life. Funny to think I probably wouldn't be sitting here in Brighton right now if it weren't for him.
He really, really gives a shit about this job and the people working for him. He's a brilliant friend and mentor. Snap him up.
Well then. After 9 years my role of Editorial Director at Eurogamer/IGNE has been made redundant. If you’re reading this and feel I have a lot of valuable experience (I do), I’m keen to explore any opportunities (full time, consulting, other) in the games industry. I am great.
Good morning.
If you've just woken up, the politics of hope just crushed the politics of fear and hatred (Labour-Reform).
It wasn't even close.
40.6% for the Greens. Reform second on 28.7%, Labour third on 25.4%.
It was incredibl! a proper part of my life for a good while, loved you all ❤️
Er fun
I really enjoyed this! A unique experience that was a lot of fubn!
Me: Have you heard about the killings?
NPC: Right nasty business. ‘Orrible!
Me: What can you tell me about the local religious sect?
NPC: Strange lot. Give me the creeps. What’s it like to be real?
Me: Huh?
NPC: To kiss a bloke.
Me: Uh
NPC: To feel a bloke’s ‘and on the nape of yer neck.
Jank has existed for less than a month and we've already published freelance articles in that time by @abeewords.bsky.social and Sin Vega, all made possible thanks to paying subscribers.
Much more to come at www.jank.cool
When my last publisher went bust I thought this book was destined to be out of print forever, but infinite thanks to the folks at Lost in Cult for bringing it back to life.
New chapters! New insights! New full colour illustrations! Lavish production values! Beautiful typesetting!
I am for sure part of the problem - i’m in a cycle of being 3-5 years behind, so by the time it comes to playing 2026 games they’ll be on a subscription service on heavily discounted. Paying £69.99 becomes un-justifiable due to that, mentally at least. Which isn’t a good thing i’m aware :/
Only one of these statements is true.
It’s basically f-zero seems like and i’m well in
Clearly someone aiming for a scam, sorry dude
I've said before that every new games journalism launch is a victory these days, but in this case I've had the tremendous privilege of working with each of the founders of this fine enterprise and they're all great.
I'm very excited to see what's next for @jank.cool. Excited and delighted.
Plus, if you liked anything I had to say about my values and what makes good games journalism back then (www.rockpapershotgun.com/the-sunday-p...), this should be a website that lives by them. (And dies if we fail to live by them and readers decide not to support it!)
I joined RPS when it was an indie blog and I loved the freedom that afforded. I quit RPS last year because I was frustrated by the modern web and the limitations of working within corporate media. Jank is our attempt to recapture the glory days while still trying something new.
