I HATE when cisgender people try to validate my existence in code. I’ve had people literally just look at me and nod while saying “I see you.” I can never tell if they mean it as validation or a threat!

I did not state which ideology I ascribe to. I pointed out that spending time arguing about ideological differences when the desired end result is the same only serves to undermine the movement as a whole.
There needs to be both for rapid and sustained change. Fighting each other does nothing.
This is so similar to what happened during the civil rights movements of the past. Some wanted peaceful, lawful protest and change (such as MLK). Others wanted rapid, violent change (such as Malcolm X). The division serves the oppressors, as it causes people with similar ideas to fight each other.
Last year I kept sautéing fiddleheads for friends/family and kept panicking that THIS is the time I messed up and killed us all somehow. I think having that concern keeps us from becoming complacent and actually hurting ourselves/others!
