It can be very frustrating needing so many breaks but with the fatigue that often comes with chronic illness(es), you can’t help it.
One way to explain the lack of energy with chronic illness(es) is The Spoon Theory. But another way I could describe it is all the breaks I need. When I was healthier I didn’t need a break after:
A phone call
Writing a text/email
Making a decision
Taking a shower
Eating a meal
Getting dressed
I’ve already made a decision today, you will have to ask me another day
Sometimes I don’t crack my joints, they crack me
