Woke up saw pictures of dogs in hoodies and thought of my poodle: I wish my dog wore clothes, but he's a dog he grows his own clothes.
I'm thinking of mine more like a midlife chrysalis, and whatever happens, whatever I come out as is no one else's business.
One of my favorite things about myself is that I'm always reading things so quickly I misread them—for instance, the description of a blue jay: "blue with white underpants."
I have this in my stack of books, but I'm scared to read it.

In the last couple of months, I've discovered an old passion and started swimming. Googling how to improve my backstroke, I read, "Develop a strong catch phrase." Ok? So, I'm also working on a new passion: stand-up comedy. Phase. It was phase. My brain is confused, it doesn't know what I'm doing.

I was there too! One of my favorite moments was when he accidentally said "Caroline" and someone(s) corrected him (which constantly happens in the book) and he seemed not amused. The day after I went to The Booksmith in SF and he was secretly signing books in the back.
