I have very strong hopes that Baltic Empires will do this better, with a similar feeling, but easier to get into and easier to get it to the table. Plus variably player count that makes sense.

Love it as well, but it's really hard to get it to the table. It's something for special weekends. But playing it only once in a while, makes it hard remembering the rules. So you always need to refresh them. Lots of effort for a game that gets played only once or twice a year...if even.
Yeah, I can see the appeal of that. I think what really bugged me in the game were the odd combat rules.
Now that's a very nice list. Lots of titles I too have on my radar.
I think I have a love-hate relationship with it. Love the tension and element of surprise. Hate that I can't do what I want. ๐
"Celles" by Revolution Games. First time I tipped my toes into the chit pull mechanic. Can't say I'm convinced. You like chit pull in your games?
I love getting more and more jaded towards new boardgames coming out. Less stuff triggers me. Very satisfying.
Very happy for you!
Vorbestellung: 1837: Saxonia und 18 India. www.spielworxx.de/2026/03/09/1... #Brettspiele #18xx #TuutTuut
Nach ewigen Zeiten mal wieder was auf meinem Blog verรถffentlicht.

Waiting for the reprint of Arracourt as well to tip my toes into BCS.
"Wer hat uns verraten? ..."
Habe nur Wargames und 18xx. Ich รผberzeuge lieber mit Spielerlebnis und Mechanik.
Me, when the new @gmtgames.bsky.social newsletter drops. One of my monthly highlights.
Damn, do I wish now to live in Glasgow.
Damn, this looks dope!
The game drips history. Very interesting to see how Europe shapes if certain events do not happen. Like Mussolini never appeared in Italy and the whole country never saw huge conflicts between the left and right, with the left only present in the capital of Rome.
Game ended after the full 10 turns after final scoring with a 10:0 left wing win (for me). Italy didn't play a role in the game. France was fought for very hard. Germany became a left wing stronghold.
I really liked the "neutral states" in this game. They seem rather unimportant for scoring, but believe me: the are definitely not and can tip the scales in your favor. Highly strategic element.
The "Moderation mechanism" is something I really like, as it doesn't let a played get too far ahead VP wise. On the other hand it also prolongs the game. This has a longer playtime than TS because of this
The "Rearmament Track" (similar to the Space Race in TS) is interesting, as it gives you more options depending on your tactic. At the same time it's also more to have an eye on.
The rules are very similar, so it's easy to get into the game if you played TS or one of its siblings already.
"Europe in Turmoil II" by Compass Games for the first time. Nice interpretation of the Twilight Struggle System set prior to the outbreak of World War 2.
Well do you have any Infos on who's gonna publish this, or are you still looking. Or you can't tell yet?
Now this looks interesting! Gonna go straight to my interested in list.
