This isn't even a slight against them either. People are people and we can't all get along. Even when we do, it's not a guaranteed forever thing. People change, grow up, move on, or have different needs.
We can still remember the fonder times and miss them. But dwelling only hurts both parties.
Missing people and relationships is the hardest part I think, because it never truly goes away no matter how hard you try. But I'm proud of you for being able to shake it off. You're right, if they couldn't be there for you during your lows and your regrets, then they don't deserve the highs.

It's difficult and will never be done exactly right, but open clear communication and willingness to talk and at least listen will always win out.
I think at the end of the day it is all kinds of things that need to be worked on:
- Ppl reaching out need to be ok with the possibility of getting a short comeback or no response
- Ppl getting reached out to need to show clarity and patience
- Everyone needs to do better about being mindful
I think that being snappy can cost a lot, even if it doesn't feel like it to you.
People talk. I've had rumors spread about me that I was an asshole because I was having a bad day and someone was being persistent in DMs and I ended up snapping.
I apologized later but the damage was done.
I do think it's a mix of the unhealthy introvert mind & people just honestly not knowing when people are busy.
I personally have been absolutely burned by ppl before cuz I would assume they were good to message to ask to hang out or talk to & snapped at.
Everyone's on DND & no one wants to talk haha
