Let's keep building the future we deserve!
Twenty-four years later, we honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11th and the countless heroes who ran toward danger. Their memory calls us to cherish our communities, support one another, and never take our freedoms for granted.
I know how important it is to have the right team by your side when tackling challenges head-on and delivering real results.
I’m proud to endorse the team we need fighting for the Seventh District in Richmond.
Honored to receive the endorsement of the Virginia AFL-CIO! Their support means everything as we fight for working families, fair wages, and strong unions. Together, we’ll build an economy that works for everyone. #UnionStrong #WorkingFamilies

The calendar is turning to August, but our work will not stop. Every month should be about breaking the silence around women’s health.
Here’s what shocked me: By age 49, over 84% of Black women and 70% of white women will have fibroids. That’s our mothers, sisters, daughters, and friends—often suffering in silence.
🔸 Too many women don’t know their options
🔸 Too many face barriers to care
🔸 Too many think pain is “just normal”
July may be ending, but our fight for women’s health never stops. 💜
Last year, I sponsored legislation to make July Uterine Fibroids Awareness Month in Virginia. We just wrapped up our second year of shining a light on a condition that affects 26 MILLION women nationwide.
Honored to visit Capitol Hill for impactful blockchain discussions—from supply chain innovation to state rights. Grateful to engage with leaders shaping this transformative technology’s future
As @kamalaharris.com said to me over the phone, “History has found you for a purpose! You may be the first to do many things, but make sure you are not the last.” Standing there, surrounded by fellow champions of equality, I felt the unstoppable force of a movement that refuses to be silenced!
Even through the rain, our voices rose together in unity, carrying a powerful message: the fight for progress in Virginia and across this nation continues with unwavering determination.
As #pridemonth2025🏳️🌈 comes to a close, I am deeply honored to have stood on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, the very place where so many before us have called for justice and equality, to address advocates from around the world.
We honor Opal Lee, whose tireless advocacy made this a federal holiday.
Today we observe Juneteenth, commemorating June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved Americans in Texas learned of their freedom. This pivotal moment represents not an end, but a beginning—of the ongoing journey toward true equality and justice for all Americans.
Celebrating all fathers today 💙 To dads who are with us, father figures who chose to love us, and fathers we’ve lost but carry in our hearts—thank you for shaping who we are. #FathersDay
World Pride looked a little something like this!
On Sunday, June 8th, I had the incredible honor of speaking on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial (in the rain) for the international WorldPRIDE 2025 Rally!
It was a true honor to present the Garrison Commander of Ft. Belvoir, Col. Stewart, and CSM Creel with a resolution from the General Assembly celebrating the Army's 250th birthday alongside @ssurovell.bsky.social today!

Yesterday, I joined an incredible group of leaders at the Capitol to discuss critical issues with Congressional leaders, including foreign policy, national security, and the DOGE cuts that could harm many Virginians.
