Don't we all.
You talking about this printer? us.store.bambulab.com/products/p2s
It's $550 base price, without the spooler, with spooler is $800, and you'll definitely want it. After shipping, taxes, and 4 spools of filament you're looking at well over a grand. This guy's struggling over buying a $200 item.
A decent 3D printer will run you over a thousand bucks, though. Not even to mention the filament it needs to print, which also is not cheap for a 'statue' sized object. =/
Certainly. I learned a lot of lessons pretty young on account of being queer. I'm painfully aware of societal programming given I had to spend decades rewiring the conditioning my family and public schooling drilled into me.
Well, keep in mind it's not their fault, though. They were handed a loaded deck the day they were born. Greed and wealth extraction is what the current world is about, there's no footholds for young people today. No way "up". Because -everyone- is being pushed DOWN.
I'm not a parent myself so I can't give great advice, but I have dozens of nephews and nieces. All you can do is be supportive and love them, realize they need to find their own path. You can only steer them so much, we're all willful individuals with our own dreams and desires.
Teaching and Psychology are both incredibly noble pursuits, IMO. I know they don't pay super well, but they SHOULD. And we're having a mental health crisis in this country right now, so someday I hope we recognize that and make teachers and psychologists receive the pay they deserve.
Whew, today's workout didn't steamroll me like the last one. =P Let's see how I feel in the morning, lol! Only 3 weeks left to bulk-up for LVFC, not much time to get more swole. Wanna be my best dadbod for the cutie twinks. ;D
On a more personal note from myself: My wife and I are equals, have been since we were dating. We both worked our own jobs, and supported ourselves equally. But she's been out of work for over 2 years now and can't find a new job. And it's killing her, her career has been her identity for so long.
Also, zero sarcasm about Gen Z lacking prospects - it's not their fault, but it's where they are. Businesses now want 3-5 years of experience for ENTRY LEVEL jobs, which is ridiculous AF. Most of my Gen Z friends and relatives do gig work cuz it's all they can find, they're being exploited.
I tell them every day to not give up. Find the cracks you can to grow in like a plant, then thrive. A changing world is a world of new opportunities, they just need to be found.
It's part sarcasm and part grounded in reality. A lot of women feel they need a man. I'm not saying whether it's wrong or right, I think that's for individuals to decide. Society (programming) generally pushes women to believe that, I think it's hogwash, but it's pretty normative.
USPS? You know they turned into a private business several years ago now and that their practices (and budget) has radically changed, right? In many postal areas (like mine), delivering mail is now "gig work" paying bottom dollar to anyone desperate enough to take it.
Unions have been largely dismantled in the US, dropping from nearly 50% enrollment in labor unions in the 60's to fewer than 15% of jobs being union today. And they are largely having the same challenges with new/junior employees, there's just so few opportunities for inexperienced workers.
Tech School? I guess you haven't heard about the entire tech industry imploding lately, over 650k unemployed tech workers int he US right now, entry level jobs expect 3-5 years of experience. I know that industry well, I work in it and mentor junior engineers. Who have zero prospects right now.
I don't think it's silly at all, I think it's what -most- women expect. Some women certainly prefer to be wholly independent and I don't slight them for that. I'm guessing you've never heard the joke American women use about "going to college to get my MRS"? It's funny because it's true.
That's... more or less my point. Gen Z is facing problems entering the labor market, not due to lack of desire, but due to lack of demand for them. So how are Gen Z men supposed to be able to support their own families when they have no prospects for decent jobs?
Naaahhhh, they knew what they were voting for: Christian American Nationalism and White Supremacy. Those voters are still getting exactly what they want right now, and with polls showing 42% of Americans in favor of the war in Iran, I'd say that proves it.
Trump FA'd and MAGA FO'd.
What's so confusing to you? Over 90% of the US suburban real estate market is "Single Family Homes" for a reason. That's been the expectation for many generations. Multi-generational living requires different construction you'd more typically find in Europe and Asia.
Also, my goal/point was not to stigmatize it, but to point out that it's a -stark- change in American living expectations. For over 80 years now in the US women have expected men to be independently capable of supporting a family and providing reasonable security to them and their kids.
But the topic at hand is that polling shows a majority of Gen Z men feel that women should be submissive, so... are you saying most Gen Z men are incels? If so, that's kind of striking. I know a lot of Gen Z guys and something doesn't seem to add-up for me. Also, women don't want security anymore?
Well, when you lack prospects and income and you're still living with your parents at 27... which women are going to be interested in you as a partner?
Being queer, my first thought about that is "are they confusing sub/dom with top/bottom?" ;D
I just think it's funny that since it's largely his base that's being sent to die in yet another middle eastern war, they (once again) don't see they're getting exactly what they voted for. I guess I shouldn't be complaining about culling the stupid people...
Well, per the usual, the news media doesn't cite their sources nor explain how the question is framed. Trump's platform was "no more wars", so one would think even his voters would be opposed to this war, given it's what they were voting for.
McDonald's isn't biblical either, but I bet she takes her kids there for happy meals.
42% of Americans support the war in Iran while only 40% oppose it? That polling seems mighty sus to me. Doesn't sound right at all. I don't know a single person in my life, be it at work or at leisure, who supports this war, not even my right-leaning acquaintances.
I never eat there anyway - everything they make I can make at home for 1/3 the price and with better flavor.
