Another great BBC ‘news’ headline. The lack of SEND funding has in the past brought many Councils to its knees. The previous administration did nothing apart from some formula tweaking. For 14 years. There is no ‘backlash’ in this story except for the editor’s catastrophising comments. Pathetic.

Being a young Goth I nearly put an offer in for a cemetery house in west London in 1985. I was just about to buy (or start buying) my first flat and this creepy house wasn’t much more. The fact that there might have been a reason for the low price - strangely - put me off.

I think you definitely needed to be a fan of Pavement to get something out of PAVEMENTS, but even then I’m scratching my head as to how it made a number of critics’ best of ‘25 lists. Didn’t get on with it at all.
