The same BBC who have not covered the story of the removal of Matt Goodwin, Reform campaign manager, a holocaust-denying Nazi who said he would "never touch a Jewish woman.β
Oh look at me being clued in. Did you go?
My goodness this album is wonderful. Like if The Three OβClock signed to Shimmy Disc. Have they played in the UK before?
Another great BBC βnewsβ headline. The lack of SEND funding has in the past brought many Councils to its knees. The previous administration did nothing apart from some formula tweaking. For 14 years. There is no βbacklashβ in this story except for the editorβs catastrophising comments. Pathetic.
Amused that Maccy Dβs arenβt able to use the theme from Friends in their big, er Friends TV/cinema promotion.
Or more accurately βsige, at det ikke er sandtβ.
Say itβs not true!
Call me an old git, but the Fiona and Rachel gloves off moment gave me a glimpse of @thetraitors.bsky.social going a bit Big Brother, which is slightly disappointing. I hope this doesnβt set a trend in the Castle.
Being a young Goth I nearly put an offer in for a cemetery house in west London in 1985. I was just about to buy (or start buying) my first flat and this creepy house wasnβt much more. The fact that there might have been a reason for the low price - strangely - put me off.
Amanda raising the profile of the Met once again @thetraitors.bsky.social
Iβm in the middle of a ten year survey of 21st century British fantastic film and I can think of at least ten directors whoβve made independent films in the past few years who would be perfect for this!
Very enticing.
Surely thereβs a sign to be completely disregarded!
I think you definitely needed to be a fan of Pavement to get something out of PAVEMENTS, but even then Iβm scratching my head as to how it made a number of criticsβ best of β25 lists. Didnβt get on with it at all.
Wondering how much someone got paid for providing the ambient sounds at the start of every @odeonftm.bsky.social programme. If it was per showing well done as itβs been going for over 10 years.
Project one term coming along nicely Laura.
Overheard at the theatre while waiting for THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST to start:
Punter 1: βWas Oscar Wilde actually a woman who, because of the times, had to write using a womanβs name?β
Punter 2: βNo, youβre thinking of George Orwell.β
No further questions.
'I'm holding back tears' - say Lionesses, faced with Heather Small encore...
BBC doing its usual thing of putting journalist think pieces in place of the news.
My review of the not quite 'Poohniverse' movie PIGLET is now up on the Dark Eyes of London site.

The second of my four part series on maverick US film director Jerry Warren is now live on Spotify - it's only 20 minutes - perfectly lunch break material! @podcasts @psychotronicfilms @thenickelcinema.bsky.social
Saw it yesterday and loved it. More like a disaster movie than an FD instalment but huge fun.
Possibly. Itβs what happens when you field a large number of candidates without the mechanism to investigate them first (Reform not being an actual political party despite how the media portray them).
So here's the first episode of the first podcast from Dark Eyes of London covering the career of one of the most detested psychotronic directors of all time. Let's hope it encourages more people to check out his films, which are pretty much all in the public domain #podcasts #psychotronic #horror
Well I'm guessing that there would be a lot of aborted work carrying out research into all prospective candidates before election results. And the inference here is that party vetting is supposed to take care of stuff like this.
Reviewed this yesterday. Impressive but the narrative threads might have been better served by a less messy movie.
