🧡 An unusual procedural moment at the UN this week.

At the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70), the Agreed Conclusions were adopted on the OPENING day β€” and BY VOTE rather than consensus.

That almost never happens.

Who caused it? ⬇️

That’s how most countries feel about Brits. I prefer to treat people depending on how they act rather than where they come from.

The Shah was installed 76 years ago. The world has changed a bit since then. UK was not involved in THE CURRENT military action.

It’s actually too honest. there are circumstances that could require a Canadian response. ie: an unprovoked Iranian attack on Canadians rather than an Iranian response to the US attack. Cyprus was attacked because UK forces are there - UK forces had not been involved at that point

If one were to play a drinking game where you had to have a shot every time Trump or one of his idiots said β€œRadical” - I think they’d end up with alcohol poisoning on a daily basis.

More likely they’ll be Puerto Rico, but without Bad Bunny.

You like to pick one moment in time and base all history on it. Lebanon civil war goes back to 1975.
The Vietnam war started in 1946 as the Indochina war with France that lead to the North South /Communist/US aligned division. Things are never so simple as outrage talking points make out.

Holy shit do you ever like to twist things until you can be outraged. Wouldn’t you be happier on X?

Hezbollah directly funded and supported by Iran. When the shells cross into N. Israel, it’s not the Druze doing the shooting.

Yes Palestine is occupied - but it’s not the Palestinian Authority that has been launching cross border raids or receiving money from Netanyahu through Iranian & UAE brokers.

Lebanon has been a mess internally since the French left- struggles for power between Christian, Shia, Sunni and unaligned

You should re- read my post.

And I can easily say that Ukraine is not a proxy as they are a country that was invaded.

You will notice I didn’t state β€œPalestine” but Hezbollah and Hama which are definitely proxies to Iran

An interesting revision on history. Vietnam was a colonial war that morphed into corporate/β€œred scare”. If you think I am defending US or Israel-

I’m not - but I I can see others involved in the regional problems, & gey how the Shia/Suffi conflict is part of the decades-old power play

Quitting politics and becoming a field worker for the World Food Program would be a good first step.

Netanyahu (and some of his predecessors) have been accusing and directly attacking Iran for years.

A succession of Iranian supreme leaders and presidents have been calling for Israel to be wiped out since the late 70’s - and supporting groups that work to that end.

01.03.2026 20:44 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

No they aren’t. Ukraine is a country that has been twice invaded by Russia and is desperately (and so far successfully) defending themselves. Israel is a country with a horrible govt wreaking death and destruction on the people of Gaza and now people of Iran (who also have a horrible government).

01.03.2026 20:41 πŸ‘ 3 πŸ” 2 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

lol. Putting the Iran/Iraq war, the Yemen / Saudi issues; and of course the on / off civil war in Lebanon all on Israel is pretty narrow sighted - but I guess that’s what your sponsors pay you for.

Iran doesn’t threaten directly (unlike Israel and US), it adds to regional destabilization by funding, training & directing proxies like Hamas, Hezbollah, Huthis (Yemen) & rebels in Pakistan, Afghanistan, & Syria. Israeli/Iranian leaders play off each other by always having a bad guy to fight.

Poilievre calls for all-party working group on renewing trade deal… National Newswatch: Canada's most comprehensive site for political news and views.

Poilievre is like the guy who shows up to join the group project after all the hard work has been done by others. #cdnpoli nationalnewswatch.com/2026/02/26/p...

Time to rally. Get some β€œrackets” (snow shoes) and head to Quebec City for some winter re-motivation

I’m sure that’s a significant factor as well although the two biggest players (Levis shipyard and Bombardier aviation) are in traditional CPC and Liberal ridings respectively.

Lots of military resources in Quebec - Valcartier, Bagotville, Longue-Pointe, Saint-Jean. It’s a big part of the economy. BQ voters aren’t necessarily separatist, but even separatists like federal jobs.

If you were planning an attack, it would be good to have medical resources nearby to treat your wounded. Never trust Trump.

It’s almost like Harper suddenly gave them permission to speak out after the AB separatists got away from his control and went straight to Trump for support.

I had that problem with my Land Rover - timing was out just a bit too far and one plug wire was bad. Re-timed it and it fired, changed plug wires and it purred. (It hadn’t started in 30+ years)

Maybe they wear masks to protect them from other ICE agents as well as shield them from repercussions for their disgusting behaviour.
