I was in the north extension just north of 1604 last night and YEAH. Funnily enough I was complaining to someone in my running crew while we were out that my vervains werenโt bloomingโฆand they bloomed today lmfao
Dakota mock vervain flowering in my no-mow wildflower space.
We got a good bit of rain over the recent days (more to come later this week), and whhaaa my Dakota mock vervains are flowering!
I transplanted a mature plant from friendsโ backyard last year. It established and seeded. The seeds germinated and now are flowering after the rain! Iโm so happy! ๐

I would agree that this is a coyote.
I donโt set that up because I work in mysterious and chaotic ways and most people would be appalled at my work process. Itโs not a flow, itโs a fucking paper jam.
Thank goodness for the ArcGIS Pro geoprocessing history tab because the good Lord above knows I forgot how I did all my shit on this ESD project last week lmfao
Yes, I know you can record your workflow. No Iโm not setting that up. Leave me alone Iโm a professional
And idk if itโs luck or mediocrity but my current team (Combusken, Gard, and Kadabra) all have neutral natures. I soft reset to get a female starter then searched for my male Ralts, then just picked an Abra by the time I was able to catch one. At least none of them have a HINDERING nature lol ๐
And because I guess I love myself THAT MUCH, I also have a Kadabra in Emerald. Abra has a 10% spawn rate and only knows Teleport lol since I only had my starter (mono Psychic team + starter gameplay), I had to rely on just chucking a Pokeball and hoping it catches LOL It took 7 times lmfao
Male Gardevoir named Yamato. Level 30. Moveset: Calm Mind, Psychic, Double Team, Teleport.
I recently picked up Pokemon Emerald for the first time since I was a kid and raised my male Ralts in a Gardevoir yesterday. As a kid I lacked the patience to grind finding a Ralts because of its low spawn rate (4% encounter rate + ADHD). Kid me is very happy. ๐
Also male Gardevoir supremacy! ๐ฎ๐ฎ

BEASTARS FINAL SEASON PART 2 HAS ME IN A CHOKEHOLD BARK BARK BARK
I love you Barg. Let us know how we can support you.
CLASPING CONEFLOWERS IN BLOOM IN MY NATIVE POLLINATOR SPACW. SO MANY!
My left-hand index finger gently lifting up a newly developed Texas bluebonnet flower bud on a large plant in one of my pollinator spaces.
Clasping coneflowers have taken over the no-mow area practically overnight lol
ALSO ONE OF MY BLUEBONNETS IS STARTING TO FLOWER RAAHHHH

I put it against our backyard fence in the front yard where the arbitrary boundary line is that separates our property and our neighborโs. That side of our combined properties is so bland and I always wanted some Tradescantia. Iโll def have to keep it maintained so it doesnโt go ape shit lol
New Tradescantia pallida growth from the roots that remained established after top dying during the winter blast.
Using my fingers to show the underside of a leaf with pretty purple color.
WAHAHA
Iโll probably come to regret it but a bit ago, I collected some wild established Tradescantia pallida. I kept it in a jar of water on the porch for a while to let it root prop then I ground planted it. It top died during the winter blast but the roots obviously remained intact! New growth! ๐ฑ
Rosy-faced lovebird. Here are a pair of small mainly green birds with sweet pink faces.. These are peeking out of a nesting cavity in a saguaro ๐ต cactus.
These charming birds are an invasive species to the Phoenix, AZ area...I lived in Mesa, AZ for many years and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing them. I always heard them first, and wow, they are fast! ๐๐ชถ

OH I GOTCHA
I misread and thought you were saying the developers somehow took out existing native trees and put in nonnatives lol sorry itโs been a long day. I gotchu now
What the hell boo who replaces mountain laurels with PEARS
THATโS HONESTLY SO COOL LOL
Enjoy them! They are seriously the best trees. Slow to grow but resilient as hell and beautiful blooms every spring!
THANK YOU SO MUCH I LOVE THEM
๐ฅน๐ฅน
WOW REALLY?! Iโve never heard of introduced Texas mountain laurels but it makes sense theyโd be popular yard trees there!
I found a blooming giant spiderwort this morning while on my run! I hopped over to a different neighborhood and this dude was in the lawn at a nearby high school! This one has such a vibrant purple color, Iโm half tempted to go dig it up and relocating it to our yard before it gets mowed LOL
๐ฟ
Itโs Texas mountain laurel season again! EVERYWHERE I GO SMELLS LIKE GRAPE SODA LOL
๐๐ง๐ฟ
Waahaha! I found agarita while on my run this morning. I left the familiarity of my neighborhood and went into another nearby oneโฆand at the entrance of the subdivision were THREE blooming agaritas! I do miss the creek where we lived before, but I love seeing my favorite natives in urban areas. ๐ฟ
Yes! Itโs a chair with a footrest. Itโs my cozy-up place lol
They are STUNNING. Theyโre on their second generation. I hope to have them for a long time!!
Thank you!!! I love them. They have such cool colors and are super resilient. They really pulled through with the winter blast we got.
Thank you!!! I love them so much and theyโre attracting a good number of pollinators already!
I grew up with them called โ[redacted] blanketsโ but I switched to their lesser known common name (firewheel) quite some time ago. Itโs picked up in popularity around here and more and more folks are now using โfirewheelโ to replace the other not ideal regional name for them, which makes me happy!
My at-home office โcozy space.โ It has a plush yellow chair with foot rest and squismhmallows, a book shelf loaded with books and figures, a little circular table with a mushroom lamp, shelves in the wall corner with house plants and figures, a standing floor lamp, and a hanging tack-board with art and pins. On the carpet floor are two little rugs that legit look like fried eggs. On the circular table is a crochet coaster that looks like an egg sunny-side up.
Closeup of the egg coaster. Iโm holding it up in my left hand.
ALSO
I got the cutest fried eggs from @thylacinedreamz.bsky.social! ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
They add such a cute flair to my office. I love the coaster so heckinโ much.
Thank you so much for fried eggs! I adore them!!! ๐ณ๐ฅน
