1. Jewish civilians and synagogues should NEVER be the target of political violence related to Israel. It's really unfortunate I have to keep saying that

2. This development needs to worry every American, because attacks inside the US only empower the worst aspects of the national security state

most of the dirty work of organizing happens not on the streets but behind closed doors, adapting and recalibrating tactics and strategy is not a sign of weakness but of sustainable movement building. and besides protests and public facing actions are still happening albeit spread on multiple fronts

agree with your larger point but gonna push back against students being silent, the student movement is still very much alive and organizing. we're under different conditions and also learning and applying the lessons from previous years to develop new strategies and tactics

base building, education, strategic development, skills training, coalition building etc are all integral to building and exercising power but are not public facing in the same way a march or occupation is and get completely ignored by people with a one dimensional understanding of politics

also public protests/marches are a small part of sociopolitical movements. the student movement is still very much alive and building itself up after the lessons learned from the previous years. what people like "editorial board" betray about themselves is they don't understand how organizing works

I'm just really fucking tired of the double standard, and often it comes from folks who rhetorically recognize the humanity of Palestenians but will continue to materially engage with the same colonial discourse that manufactured consent for genocide

oh and lest we forget that israel routinely holds on to dead Palestinian bodies, currently numbering upwards of 676 and some of which have been kept since the 60s and 70s. so while israelis who died in captivity will get burials and closure, Palestinians get none

13.10.2025 16:01 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

while israeli captives get to return to intact homes and cities, any Palestinians that potentially get released will come back to rubble and dead families, more than 2000 family names have been completely wiped off the registry

whatever the bibas family had to endure, the israeli occupation has enacted on thousands of Palestinian families both before and especially after the beginning of the genocide in Gaza, and yet no one is calling for israel to be disarmed

hundreds of Palestinian children are currently held in israeli torture camps, between 2000-2023, more than 12000 children were detained by the occupation, I refuse to empathize with the occupier when no such humanity is extended to Palestinians living under occupation

13.10.2025 12:48 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

the vast majority of Palestinian hostages are held without even the pretense of due process, do their families (or what's left of them) not grieve for their return? in fact after 10/7/23 israel abducted thousands of Palestinians from gaza, do people lose their humanity once the fingers lose count?

13.10.2025 12:44 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

all these stories being published about israeli hostages reuniting with their families and "oh the trauma they've endured", but currently israel holds more than 10000 Palestinians in torture camps, even with the maximalist estimates in current deal wouldn't even be a dent in those numbers

so USians do have the capacity to boycott corporations it's just that a genocide of palestinians is not a significant enough problem to them πŸ€”

Help Lana and her family in Gaza My name is Lana, and I’m an engineer from Gaza.

Lana is an absolutely lovely person who I've had the honor of getting to know more over the last several months, who is singlehandedly caring for her siblings while also attempting to fundraiser for her brother who was shot at a "GHF aid site". boost/donate if you can

Support My Dream and Save My Father My name is Malak, an 18-year-old student from Gaza. I used to be a passionate high schooler, dreaming of becoming an architect πŸ›οΈβ€”someone who builds homes for others, while I no longer have one myself...

Malak and I have been in contact over email, if folks on here can help boost/donate to her campaign that would be immensely appreciated!

there's toilet paper more valuable than a us security agreement, if this is not a wake up call for the self-serving gulf monarchies I would have to assume they're less pragmatic and more so ideologically subservient

do folks like you just wake up stupid or you gotta take a supplement with your coffee?

GIVING HELP TO "UNDESERVING" PEOPLE IS NOT WORSE THAN "DESERVING" PEOPLE NOT RECEIVING HELP.

That's the bottom line. It's better to be too generous than too stingy. Stop focusing on what people deserve, stop viewing life as a zero sum game, and kill the cop in your head.

the casual misogyny throughout the movie while the most competent person is also the only woman is the funniest (derogatory) thing about the abyss

obviously with hindsight, biden failed to actually deliver on that progressive platform but that imo is a separate issue

06.08.2025 22:20 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

personally think a part of this stupid debate that gets missed or memory holed often is biden's 2020 campaign was actually very progressive in its policy positions which made him a solid alternative for voters who were concerned about electability against trump

how exactly does canada expect hamas to keep israeli pows well fed when israel refuses to let any food enter the strip??

03.08.2025 23:24 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

what anita conveniently fails to mention is that gaza is actively being starved by the israelis there is very little food in the strip period, meanwhile we've seen several pictures of equally emaciated palestinians from israeli captivity who also bear significant marks of torture

Every diaspora Palestinian I know has been living with survivor’s guilt for 655 days. Guilt & shame for every glass of water, every bite of food, every shower, every daily annoyance, every moment of joy, every booboo we can kiss better, every sleep in our own beds. Our people are being slaughtered.
